MyWebPal Under New Ownership- June 20, 2002
Myles Communications, Inc., headquartered in Moberly Missouri, has purchased the internet newspaper publishing tools from Goalmine.com, Inc. known to publishers across the country as Mywebpal. Mywebpal, the popular online software suite for newspaper publishers, will be complemented by the other products and services Myles Communications provides to community newspapers.

"This is an exciting development for Mywebpal customers," said Corey M. Smith, Goalmine CEO. "Myles Communications brings twenty-plus years of hands-on publishing experience to our existing and future accounts. Mywebpal customers will benefit tremendously from the expertise they will provide."

Daniel Zollenberg, Chief Technology officer for Goalmine, will make the transition to the new company and will continue to oversee technology development. Other key personnel who will make the transition to Myles Communications include Timothy Miller and Dustin Chantel, the current managers of customer service and sales.

Under a powerful technology platform and an aggressive pricing model, Mywebpal has grown from a handful of clients to over 140 in the past twelve months. With a strong first quarter already on the books, it appears a growing number of newspapers are seeking a superior internet publishing solution with Mywebpal's ease of use and outstanding publisher and reader characteristics.

"Having been newspaper publishers ourselves, we understand the financial and human constraints that are endemic to community newspapers. This software finally offers publishers tools that are as easy as copy and paste at a very affordable price," said Jim Myles, CEO of Myles Communications.

Myles Communications will maintain offices in the Midwest as well as a west coast office in Washington State. "We want to be accessible to our clients and offer easy access to customer service, technical support and sales. Two offices, as well as phone, fax, and online availability means that we're available when our clients want to reach us," said Robyn Myles, president.

"Mywebpal customers will see a strong commitment to customer care and technology enhancements. By and large our existing accounts will be working with the same individuals they always have," said Goalmine President Patrick Carman. "This is a big win for our existing accounts, and the move gives Mywebpal a presence in the country's heartland that will support the pattern of growth we've seen in the past year."
