Mywebpal launches AdBurst, new local ad initiative - June 15, 2001
Mywebpal has officially launched AdBurst, its advertising solution for the local small market newspaper. AdBurst provides materials, sales expertise, and ongoing support in the effort to sell local advertising for member web sites.

"We have been hearing from our customers for a while now that they would like assistance at the local level selling advertising for their sites. AdBurst fills that need extremely well," said Dustin Chantel, Sales and Marketing manager for Mywebpal.

Under the program, member papers give up a small percentage of the advertising revenue in exchange for marketing materials, sales efforts, and ongoing sales support from Mywebpal. So far, the results have been impressive.

"Our first AdBurst took place at the Dyersburg Daily News where we closed over $1200 in monthly advertising sales in two days", Patrick Carman, Mywebpal President said. "That's over $14,000 a year in revenue for the paper, and new advertisers kept rolling in after our departure."
